This is a gorgeous and welcoming place. We spoke with a lovely man whom I assume is one of the owners. The discussion centred mostly around the hostas at The Black Forest Garden Centre. From the moment we entered the property, everything was immensely impressive. As I do not have a colossally strong knowledge of flowers and plants, I have included several photographs so as to give people an idea of what this place has to offer. It obviously contains substantially more than what I have included. The property itself is stunning and as I mentioned above, one of the owners of the place took the time to speak to us. Furthermore, even though it is September 2025, the Garden Centre still has a lovely selection of plants. I recommend this place.
Great variety of plants ranging from individual annual and perennial plants to vegetables/herbs. Didn’t expect spend so much time there but there was so much to see and came back home with a haul!
This is the first place we found sungold tomatoes in plant form (not just seeds). Healthy plants. Theres also a resident cat! You’ll know it’s pest free.
My wife and I went to this Garden Centre to buy some Ornamental Grass. We were told they would have more selection in a few weeks and they would call us when the product was in. After 2-3 weeks, I called to find out what was happening. I left my name and number again and they were to get back to me. We never purchased these plants because we had some mis directed loyalty to them because we thought they would get back to us. A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME !! This business seems to be incompetent or so arrogant they do not need to follow up on commitments. We will not be wasting our time at this place again... Thanks for the response to my review but you have misrepresented what happened. I want to clarify that we did not come in late in the season (mid October as you have stated). We actually came in August and followed up in September. In addition, we had determined the exact type of Grass we wanted (that’s why we were waiting for you to tell us it was in stock). It’s pretty clear that your business has no interest unless I am placing a large order. We were only looking for 3 bunches. We waited for a response twice for weeks and finally gave up in late fall. I made the mistake of not just getting it somewhere else because we had a sense of loyalty because you were putting the product aside for us. Best regards
Black Forest just completed our front garden today and did a fantastic job. They were punctual, professional, and tidy. They did a thorough clean up the area when they were done. They did exactly what they said they would do. They were kind enough to water and fertilize our existing plants. I would highly recommend them. It is really hard to find people that follow through on everything they say they are going to do but they really do everything that is promised. We will hire them again.
Beautiful centre with an impressive selection. Service was great and an absolute pleasure to speak with. Very knowledgeable and open to questions. Unlike other centres that can be very intimidating to new inexperienced customers, this one got me excited about my purchases and eager to return.
